Joint Venture, a unique community resource established in 1993, provides analysis and action on issues affecting the region's economy and quality of life. The nonprofit organization brings together established and emerging leaders—from business, government, academia, labor, and the broader community—to spotlight issues and work toward innovative solutions.
Two other distinguished community leaders were elected to Joint Venture’s board along with Tabke at the board’s quarterly meeting on Feb. 16: Chuck Reed, the mayor of San Jose; and Sara Spivey, vice president of worldwide sales and marketing for Advanced Micro Devices Inc.
“I’m eager to contribute to Joint Venture’s many worthy efforts on crucial issues including competitiveness, telecommunications, regulatory policy and the environment,” said Tabke. “The TDA Group will share its expertise in marketing and communications to help Joint Venture build awareness and support for its important work.”
As a first step in that process, The TDA Group has assigned Mike Langberg to serve as a communications advisor to Joint Venture. Langberg, a managing writer at The TDA Group, joined the agency in October 2006 after a long career at the San Jose Mercury News, where he was most recently the newspaper’s technology columnist.
