TDA Group announces the release of the premiere issue of IBM Data Management magazine, the quarterly publication for data management professionals, sponsored by IBM. Launched as DB2 Magazine in 1996 and subsequently renamed IBM Database Magazine, the quarterly magazine is dedicated to customers of IBM information management products.
In 2009, IBM engaged enterprise content development agency TDA Group to shape a new vision for the publication that reflects the changing role of the data management professional. “IBM recognizes that organizations view their data and information as strategic assets,” said Paul Gustafson, president of TDA Group. “Data managers are still tuning databases and developing applications, but they’re also expected to align data resources with the broader strategic vision of the organization.”
TDA worked with IBM to create a magazine that would help data management professionals make the most of these new opportunities. Building on the strong foundation of technical content, the new IBM Data Management magazine provides a broader view that includes analysis of the business pressures shaping the world of the data management professional.
