Los Altos, CA—August 13, 2002
The TDA Group, a full-service marketing firm serving the high-technology community, today announced that it has won two 2002 Bronze Beacon awards from the Northern California Business Marketing Association (Norcal BMA), marking the company’s third such honor this year. The two Bronze Beacon Awards were presented to The TDA Group for TotalStorage Solutions (TSS), an IBM newsletter, and for the company’s own corporate brochure. In April, The TDA Group received a 2002 Maggie Award from the Western Publications Association (WPA) in the newsletter category, also for TSS.
The IBM TSS newsletter provides IT professionals with current information about IBM data storage products and their business applications. TSS is a custom publication designed for enterprise customers of the IBM Storage Systems Group and its products. The TDA Group’s corporate brochure is a multimedia promotional piece, designed with potential marketing communications clients in mind.
The Beacon awards, held for the first time in June and judged by Bay Area marketing professionals, will be awarded annually by Norcal BMA to members and non-members, clients, agencies and suppliers who have produced marketing communications that demonstrate exceptional strategy and execution.
“2002 was the first year for the Beacon Awards. We are extremely pleased by the overwhelming response to our call for entries,” comments Beacon Awards director Adrienne Parker. “We received 200 entries across 33 categories, and were faced with a difficult challenge in selecting the winners. With such intense competition, we were pleased to award two Bronze Beacon Awards to The TDA Group to recognize its excellent work for both its corporate brochure and the TotalStorage Solutions newsletter.”
The TSS July 2001 issue and the TDA corporate brochure were evaluated for visual appearance, quality of execution, clarity of message and effectiveness of overall effort. The newsletter also appears on the IBM Web site at www.storage.ibm.com/tsmagazine/index.htm for readers to obtain more in-depth information.
“TDA has always believed in the tremendous informational and marketing value that TotalStorage Solutions delivers,” states Bob Tabke, partner at The TDA Group. “We are extremely pleased that this publication has been recognized by our peers for its excellence, and that our corporate brochure shares that mark of distinction. It is an honor for The TDA Group to receive two Bronze Beacon Awards from Norcal BMA.”
The TDA Group received an industry award earlier this year when the Western Publishers Association honored the agency with a Maggie Award for the July 2001 issue of TSS. Announced every April, the Maggie Awards are presented by the WPA to promote the pursuit of excellence among publishing professionals through recognition of its members’ best work.
