The TDA Group, a full-service marketing firm serving the high-technology community, today announced that it has been awarded three 2003 Beacon Awards by the Northern California Business Marketing Association (Norcal BMA). The TDA Group won for TotalStorage Solutions (TSS), an IBM newsletter, and for a brochure and poster produced for IBM.
Held annually, the Beacon Awards and Showcase event is the only awards program in the Bay Area that recognizes business-to-business marketing excellence. Norcal BMA members and non-members, clients, agencies, and suppliers compete for gold, silver, and bronze awards in 15 categories. Entries are judged by marketing professionals, and awards granted to marketing communications that demonstrate superior strategy and execution.
The TDA Group received a gold Beacon Award in the Newsletters category for TotalStorage Solutions (TSS) and two silver Beacon Awards in the Promotional Material category for an IBM brochure and poster. The winning brochure, entitled "Fifty Years of Innovation," was distributed to IBM customers worldwide to illustrate that, after five decades, magnetic tape remains a cost-effective data storage medium. The brochure goes on to describe the IBM vision of future data storage technologies. The poster offers IBM customers a pleasing piece of art for offices or the corporate data center that reinforces the IBM TotalStorage brand.
This year’s awards mark the second time in two years that The TDA Group has earned Beacon Awards. At the 2002 Beacon Awards and Showcase event, the Los Altos–based agency faced intense competition to bring home bronze Beacon Awards for both The TDA Group corporate brochure and the TotalStorage Solutions newsletter.
